Throughout my life I have always been interested in stories and adventures. As a kid I loved to read fantasy books and imagine epic journies. As I got older, I grew more interested in telling stories as well as experiencing them. In high school I joined the theater department and by the time I graduated I was the Vice President for the drama club and had participated in over a dozen shows. Going into college I joined the Gaming, Interactive Media and Mobile Development or GIMM major, hoping that it would help me to find a new way of telling stories. In this program I discovered that I had a knack for 3D modeling, coding, and all things game design. I decided that the best way to create new stories was by creating exciting new video games. I graduated from Boise State University in May, 2021 with a Bachelors of Science, and I am currently searching for a position that will help me expand my talents.
My Skill sets include 3D modeling in programs such as Blender and Maya. Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, Python and Swift. Experience working in game engines such as Unity and GoDot. Experience in VR development for the Oculus Rift. Experience in AR development in Xcode. Knowledge of both Scrum and agile methodologies. And experience in the Adobe suite of programs including Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects.
Weight of War is a VR experience, designed for the Old Idaho Penitentiary's Earl Museum. The experience is designed to teach visitors what packing an equipment bag for a mission during World War I would have felt like. For this project, I worked on the code for VR interaction and scene changes. Code for this game can be found on this Github repo.
Trench Runner is a VR shooter game, created in Unity and using the Oculus integration. Trench Runner is optimized for the Oculus Rift. Everything except the background music was created by myself using the Unity engine and Visual Studio 2019. The music used for the game was created by Punch Deck. Code for this game can be found on this Github repo.
Deep Clean is a cooperative two person game that has both players working together on the same keyboard to clean and maintain a starship's engine room during a space battle. The game was created as a collaborative entry for the August 2021 Brackeys Game Jam. I helped with the coding and scene layout on this project. The entry page and download for the game, and credits for everyone that worked on the project can be found here.
